S S P R E D Secondary Structure Prediction of Proteins

SSPRED is a three state secondary structure prediction routine; the algorithm is described in:

Mehta, P.K. Heringa,J. & Argos,P. (1995)
A simple and fast approach to prediction of protein secondary structure from multipy aligned sequences with accuracy above 70%.
Protein Science 4, 2517-2525

By default, SSPRED expects to get a multiple sequence alignment in MSF format as input.
The user may request service for Clustal W, FASTA or PIR formatted multiple alignments by changing the presetting of the format selector.
